Why should I rent instead of traveling with my own equipment?

The reasons are many and varied – It is additional and often bulky luggage.

You may have to pay surcharges for extra luggage on certain airlines, especially with International flights. With increased security at airports globally, increased luggage per person equals a longer check in process. Airlines can on occasion damage and lose your equipment in transit, claims are difficult to file and rarely are compensated in such instances. Traveling with a child is a much more comfortable experience, knowing all your baby’s needs can be catered to at your final destination.

Is there a minimum number of days required for rental ?

No. However, there is a 1 week minimum rental charge for all orders.

Can I pick my rented items up ?

At this time, Vacation Baby Rental offers delivery services only.

When does the rental term start and end ?

From delivery to scheduled pick up. Equipment picked up after 1 pm (EST) will  incur an additional day of rental charge.

What if I need something that is not on your list ?

We will be happy to accommodate special requests if item is available. Please inform us in advance for special items.

How far in advance should I make a reservation ?

To ensure equipment availability, it is best to make your reservation as early as possible.

What are your days and hours of operation ?

Office hours: 9 am – 7 pm EST, Monday through Saturday Delivery/pick up hours: 8 am – 4 pm EST, Monday through Saturday and 9 am – 2 pm EST Sunday’s

Vacation Baby Rental observes the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Orders will be delivered up to the day before the holiday and will be picked up the day after.

What is your delivery fee ?

Delivery to Fort Myers, Estero and Cape Coral area is included on orders over $75 (beach areas excluded), outside of those areas and depending on distance, date and time of the delivery, we assess a $10-$30 fee, which includes delivery, set up and pick up. Standard delivery hours are between 9 am – 4 pm EST.

Can you deliver to the airport ?

We can meet you at baggage claim to deliver equipment – additional fees apply to cover parking and time constraints – please call for quote.

We can make arrangements to meet you at the car rental agencies located near Fort Myers International Airport (RSW) as long as it is within our delivery hours.

Can delivery be made to our hotel prior to our arrival and picked up after our departure ?

Yes, all items with the exception of cribs can be left at the bell desk under your name or left in your room, once permission to do so is organized between yourself and the hotel. Bell desk deliveries should be returned for pick up under the name Vacation Baby Rental. Cribs must be set up in your presence.  Renter is responsible for equipment until it is returned to Vacation Baby Rental possession.

Can delivery be made to a private residence prior to our arrival and picked up after our departure ?

Yes. Please provide us with a contact name, address and phone number.

Do you install car seats ?

No. We are not authorized to install car seats. However, we are happy to offer guidance. You may also try the Child Passenger Safety Contacts at www.nhtsa.gov.

When do I need submit payment ?

Full payment is due at or just prior to equipment delivery.

What forms of payment do you accept ?

We accept credit cards, checks, and cash.

What is your cancellation policy ?

We require a minimum of 48 hours to avoid penalty. Any cancellations less than 48 hours before arrival will be charged 50% of your order to the provided credit card.
